World Travel Viral Dance Video
I think it is safe to say that when it comes to traveling most people love to do it and want to do more of it. Many people desire to see the world and what it has to offer. I’m sure if traveling was cheaper there would be a numerous amounts of people traveling from city to city, but let’s be honest, traveling can cost quite a bit! This brings me to Jake Kodish, a 23 year old professional dancer, who was a lucky soul who got a chance of a lifetime to be apart of Taylor Swifts “1989 World Tour” as one of her background dancers. Lets face it; Taylor Swift is a global sensation. This Grammy winner is known for her kind gestures to all her loyal fans, and for just being herself with no false pretense. During the tour they made 85 stops while traveling to multiple locations around the globe including locations in North America, Asia, Europe, and Australia.
The tour lasted seven months and during the tour Jake found the time to explore the different cities in between rehearsals and sound checks. During his sight seeing, he also decided to film himself free styling in each place they traveled to. He ended up putting the film together in a video edit and the video went viral on Facebook. Not only was the video of him dancing, but he also included pictures and videos of the inside life on tour, which was a huge bonus to Taylor Swift fans (aka Swifties). Kodish said that her fans have reached out to him telling him how much they loved his video. Taylor herself has also seen the video. He went on saying, “I showed it to Taylor before it was finished,” he admitted. “When we were in Australia, we had two more cities left to do, but she saw it up to Brisbane.” Jake started dancing when he was 15 years old after his mother put him in dance classes to help boost his self-confidence. It’s safe to say that his dance lessons paid off. Thank you, Momma Kodish!
It really is an inspiration to watch a section of this young mans journey of life. He has decided to follow his dreams and got the chance of a lifetime to perform with one of the biggest names in the music industry. Best of all he wanted to share it with the entire world.
