Dancing is an incredible way to strengthen your immune system and promote wellness. According to dance psychologist Dr. Peter Lovatt, “You appear to get a much bigger release of endorphins when you dance than during other forms of exercise; it also connects with the emotional centres in the brain.” 

When we dance, there seems to be a significant increase in serotonin and endorphins in the organism, which boosts our immune system, reduces the risk of upper respiratory tract infections, including the common cold. 

Physical movement generally helps with pain processing, lubrication of joints, anti-aging, and cardiovascular benefits. 

Nowadays Dance is being used to treat a variety of health issues including Parkinson’s, fibromyalgia, mental health issues, balance deficits, and neurological decline.

Both partnered dance classes swing, foxtrot, tango, salsa, and single dance classes like hip hop, or social dancing have numerous health benefits once we’re consistent and make it a regular habit.
