As many are aware, eating healthy has many benefits. But it’s not always as easy as it sounds. In a society where we are constantly on the go, it is easier to justify eating out all the time. I don’t think many are aware of what we put into our body and how it can drastically make a difference in how a person feels about themselves and daily living. By eating the right foods, it can increase your energy, and make your thoughts more on point; Overall stimulating your mind and body.

To maintain energy throughout the day, it is important to provide the body with fuel. I cannot stress how important it is for you to eat breakfast. Too many people tend to skip breakfast for vastly different reasons but shouldn’t. Being the first meal of the day it helps to jumpstart your day. Even if you may not feel hungry, something small like fruit and toast can go a long way for energy levels and overall how you feel about yourself. Also lemon water is very good for you.

Small meals and/or snacks through out the day are also important. Don’t be shy to plan ahead. Choose meal type foods (homemade) as snacks such as soup, sandwiches, leftovers, fruits, vegetable sticks, cheese etc. versus the snacky foods that are easy to grab and eat on the go. This will provide the body with better nutrients and vitamins.  Any type of active activity or intense training such as dance, can take a toll on ones muscles, bones, and joints. When you eat the right foods, it can help improve the recovery form the strain and assist with the repair. It is important that you keep hydrated and combine protein and carbohydrates in your diet, especially when doing any type of physical activities.

Personally speaking, I notice a drastic difference in how I feel about myself once I start and maintain a healthy living lifestyle. The biggest things I notice is that I don’t always feel tired or fatigued and always feel energized. I also notice my mind seems clearer. It’s hard to explain but I feel refreshed and my mind feels sharper. Lets be honest its not always an easy thing to maintain. I think having a variety of meals and foods that are easy to prepare make all the difference in keeping it up continually. It’s funny because when I indulge in my “cheat day” (where I can eat whatever I want for that day); sometimes I can taste the difference in the not so healthy foods. Making healthy eating choices supports a long healthy life especially when you balance the right nutrients into your diet. So let’s make the right choice to better ourselves by eating healthy for exercising.
